You spend hours preparing a meal and guests end up raving about a 10-minute centerpiece, an easy-to-make napkin ring, or a simple herb-infused drink. Make a big impression with a small detail.
With a little cold water, ice, and table salt, you can chill beverages in time for an impromptu backyard barbecue in three easy steps.
1. Place wine or other bottles in a bucket; add a layer of ice, followed by a layer of salt (coarse or table).
2. Repeat until you almost reach the top.
3. Fill the bucket with cold water to just below the ice line. The water in the ice bucket will be colder than normal, chilling the libations in less than 10 minutes.
We’ll drink to that!
