Meatless Monday campaign and its “one day a week, cut out meet” manta has grown to 50.22 percent, up from 30 percent just six months ago. And nearly a third of those who know about it are cutting back on their meat consumption. Awesome, right?
Last year, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a meatless Monday resolution, sponsored by Supervisor Sophie Maxwell. The measure declares every Monday as “Vegetarian Day” and urges restaurants, grocery stores and schools to offer more plant-based options.
